SWG Rules

General Information
SWG is quite possibly one of the best things to ever happen to the Internet Gaming Zone. We combine intense gameplay with life-long friendship. We combine competition and teamwork. We combine pride and trust. SWG is more than a clan. It is a life.

Sponsership: In order to enter SWG, you must be sponsered by a previous member. This member must have a minimum rank of Private. they are responible for you. If a player is disruptive, then blame will fall on the sponser, so make sure that you only sponser mature players.

Ranks: The single most important part of life is acheivement. In SWG there are many ways to achieve. The first of these ways is through the ranking system. You must be sponsered by another member of SWG to be accepted. If you are excepted, you will be placed in a faction. Your current rank will be "Recruit". However, this is only the beginning of your SWG career. There is still much more to come. Your first goal will be to earn 10 Ladder points. These can be earned in a number of ways. You can earn points by submitting artwork and poetry, creating a character biography, or by playing ladder matches. Whenever you earn your 10 points, you must fill out the application form, and become a private. As you progress, you will earn more points. When you reach 60 points, you are eligible to become a Corporal. At 80 points, you are eligible for Sergeant. Once again, in order to be promoted, you must submit an application. For ensign and above, you must hold 100 points. To be promoted, you have to submit an application. The application form is here. Promotions are awarded every second week at the SWG meetings. For more information regarding SWG ranks, make sure to check out the SWG Ranks Section.

Factions: There are many different factions in SWG, each of which are very different. You can join any of them, depending on your individual tastes. For more info please read the SWG Faction Page.

Discipline: SWG is a strict clan regarding discipline and respect. If you do not hold these same ideals, do not join SWG. Members will be expelled for coarse language, failure to respect a higher rank, or any other infraction. They can only be expelled by the Marshal, or the Master At Arms.

SWG Training: If you feel that your abilities are not up to par, then practice, practice, practice. You can also arrange training dates with your squad leader. If you would like extensive training, then try the SWG Training Center. It is a comprehensive training work-out.

How To Use The Navigation Bar:

The Ladder: The SWG ladder is an easy way to move up in rank. You earn 2 points for a win. You recieve one point for a loss.  I would suggest that you play as many ladder matches as possible, as it is the fastest way to move up in rank. Whenever you have a competitive game with another player, please decide on the rules before hand, so as to eliminate disputes when playing.  Just remember practice makes perfect.

The Message Board: Leave a message for all members of SWG here. Avoid profanity.

Factions: A list and description of all factions within SWG.

Roster: The Roster links to each of the different factions.

Awards: Another integral part of SWG. Awards are given out whenever a player achieves something or great importance.

Join: Join SWG here, and begin the experience that will last a life-time.

Member Section: A showcase of the artwork, stories, and poems created by members of SWG.

Downloads: All files needed within SWG can be found here. BFP2, JED, and SWG Mission levels are all available.

Meetings: SWG holds a meeting twice a month, via ICQ. I urge all members to come, as they are a fast way to move up in rank. To come to the meeting, simply have icq online at the specified time. You will be invited to the meeting.

Meeting Protocol: In order to maintain control over meetings, the follow protocol must be observed

1. Do not speak unless spoken to by the meeting host.
    2. Wait until the end of the meeting to speak...you WILL be given a chance.
3. When we meet in ICQ, there are predetermined colours for all members:
Meeting Host: Blue
Tribunal Members: Red
Officers: Green
Players: White
4. However, most meetings will be held within the SWG Chat Room. Maintain order within this room.

Please try to make it to every meeting. They go a long way towards earning your rank, and always give you important information. All previous meetings will be stored in the Meeting Log Book.

Polls: All polls and votes are accessable throught the polls section.

The Training Center: If you need training with any aspect of Jedi Knight, please try the Training Center. There is a cadre of knowledgeable instructors at your disposal.

Air Group: The Air Group is another part of SWG. It focuses on the Flight-oriented Star Wars Games such as X-Wing Vs. Tie-Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance.

MotS Militia: The militia is much like the Air Group, except it supports the Jedi Knight Addon Pack-Mysteries of the Sith. If you have the addon, please take a look at the militia.

Tournaments: From time to time, SWG will host tournaments. These tournaments will be sets of games, to determine the best teams, and players. If you wish to challenge another faction to a tournament, then please let me know. SWG has very unique types of tournaments. Most of the time, they are organized much like the olympics. Tournaments are a quick way to earn ladder points.

Missions: SWG puts a whole new spin on Jedi Knight. From time to time, SWG will also host a mission. In this mission, players have certain objectives to achieve. IE: The rebels might have to free rebel sympathizers. Of course, they will battle the Imperials, who will be guarding the prisoners. The missions open up a whole new door to SWG. I hope that all of you get the chance to enjoy the fun and reality of a mission. A mission is like real life. Once you die, you are done. You only get one chance. You will probably team up with your squad-mates in missions. However, like in real life, you can't pause, or say time-out. Once the mission starts, any one can shoot you...at any time.

Credits: These are the people who keep SWG going.

Allies and Enemies: SWG does not believe in "Enemies". However, if another clan wants to formally arrange competitions, please contact Zxe. SWG focuses more on friendship. If you would like to ally with SWG, then please conact me. Alliances will be mutually benificial.

Links: These are some of the better web sites, that are used by SWG. There are some SWG members sites listed here as well.

SWG Rules

SWG is a fairly strict clan. We do not tolerate infraction of the following rules:
    1. No cheating, hacking or general misconduct.
    2. Show respect to all SWG players...friend or foe.
    3. During meetings, please follow meeting protocol.
    4. Do not lie about ladder matches. If you submit untrue matches...you will be banned from the ladder. If you lose, and do not post a match, then you will find it very hard to gain the respect, and trust of your fellow players.
    5. Members of SWG must not be members of other clans.
    6. All members, when playing on the zone must put a "SWG_" in front of their name.

SWG was created for JK players to have fun. If you see a problem, or more importantly, a solution, then please email me at [email protected]
